雷射共振腔V型模態偏振特性之研究

摘要


本篇論文的主要方向在「雷射模態偏振特性」之探討,藉由調整腔長以及離軸產生各種不同的雷射橫向模態。在實驗中我們採用兩個曲率半徑不同的球面鏡(分別為10 mm和20 mm ),並使用Nd:YVO4當作雷射晶體。當腔長處於特殊的簡併共振腔時,橫向模態會落在幾何光束V mode軌跡之上。在實驗結果中發現可以產生V mode 的腔長範圍並非一個連續的區間而是有兩個特殊的簡併共振腔長皆可以產生。論文中針對這兩個腔長做了一系列的模態偏振特性研究。實驗結果顯示當改變腔長時,雷射模態的線性偏振方向也會有所改變。此外,論文中的另一個重點是利用共心共振腔結構產生角度可變化的高斯光束,期待將來能應用於提高雷射加工的便利性。

This thesis focuses on “laser resonator cavities.” This feature of resonator cavities is that there are various modes or degenerate states under different cavity lengths and off-axis pumping. We used two spherical mirrors of different radius of curvatures (10 mm and 20 mm) and a Nd:YVO4 crystal to achieve V mode from the degenerate cavity. The result reveals that the lasing range for the V mode is not a continuous interval. We study the characteristics of polarization for the V mode under two specific degenerate cavity lengths. The experimental results show that the polarization of lasing mode is variable with cavity lengths. Therefore, we also consider the characteristics of lasing mode generated from a concentric cavity. The experimental results reveal that the fundamental mode is direction changeable under different pump offsets.
