國立臺灣師範大學健康促進與衛生教育學系發展已逾五十餘年,對於我國學校衛生及公共衛生等領域之人才培育及推展不遺餘力,對我國國人健康的維護和促進,有其一定的成效和貢獻。 本研究以國立臺灣師範大學健康促進與衛生教育學系為歷史研究法的探討主軸,輔以文獻分析法進行分析,回顧健康促進與衛生教育學系自民國43年萌芽至今之師資概況、課程內容、學生活動與畢業生就業、學術研究與社會服務、國際交流等面向,進行了解與探討其歷史變遷。研究發現,上述面向,自該系獨立設系後,亦步亦趨蓬勃發展、穩定成長,至民國96年8月1日順應時勢及系友建議轉型更名。在社會服務方面,該系教師除積極投入教學工作及學術研究外,亦承擔該校校內相關行政職務,另成立二個學術性非政府組織以輔佐政府推展學校衛生工作及進行國際學術交流等。
The development of the Department of Health Promotion & Health Education of the National Taiwan Normal University have exceeded more than 50 years. The Department has been continuing making every effort to the training, education, and cultivation for the talents in the fields of school health and public health of the country, and has certain achievement and contribution to maintaining and promoting the public’s health. This study was aimed at the historical research method on the Department of Health Promotion & Health Education of the National Taiwan Normal University as its main axle, and aided by the literature analysis method to proceed analysis and to recall the establishment of the Department since 1954 to the aspects of the current condition of teachers’ resource, contents of curriculum, student activities and employment of graduates, academic research and social service, and international interchange. The study has discovered that since the establishment of the said Department independently, the Department was getting boomed , developed, and grown steadily, until August 1, 2007, in order to respond the trend of situation and transformation and changing it’s official title suggested by alumni. On the aspect of social service, the teachers Department in the Department not only have launched themselves actively into teaching task and academic research, but also have assumed the related administrative duties in the school, and also have otherwise established two academic NGOs to assist government to promote school health task and to proceed international academic interchange.
