A Research for letters to the editor of Fixing Game Scandals in Taiwanese Professional Baseball

摘要

本研究目的在從閱聽人再現的角度，探討臺灣職棒假球案的讀者投書內容，透過聯合報、自由時報兩報的讀者投書版，分析不同時期的描述與再現的情形，進行一脈絡性的整理。本研究蒐集1996年至2010年間假球案之讀者投書共118篇進行文本分析，並以半結構式訪談兩報的投書版編輯。研究結果分為投書內容及影響投書內容之原因等兩個部份來探討，一為投書內容，其主要可分四大主題，個人情感傷害、批評聯盟與球團、不滿政府與黑道、社會現象的抨擊等；二為影響閱聽人對假球案投書之因素，讀者投書的內容受到報社守門人及新聞報導內容影響，而投書的數量多寡則與事件的矚目度相關，閱聽人除了在投書內容中表達自我經驗之外，也與新聞內容對話。

The purpose of this study was to discuss letters to the editor of fixing game scandals in Taiwanese Professional Baseball through United Daily News, Liberty Times. The date were collected from letters to the editor in a total of 118(1996 to 2010) for text analysis, and then the semi-structure was used to interview two editors from United Daily News, Liberty Times. The results were divided into two parts. First, the contents of the letter could be divided into four topics: individual’s emotional damage, criticizing toward leagues, dissatisfication with government, crminal organization and the social phenomenon. The second was the impact on match fixing scandals of letters to the editor, the contents to the editor would be affected by gate keepers and journalists. There was a relationship between the quantity of letters to the editor and whether scanals were serious or not. The audience would express their experiences via the letters and created the conversation with the reporters.
