Being the largest subfamily of the top sixth spider family in the world, Thomisinae (Araneae: Thomisidae), over 1500 species, is one of the common arachnid groups in Taiwan. The Thomisinae is usually called crab spider because of the first two legs are strong, long and laterigrade. The thomisids distribute among the shrubs, the fields and the frosts. They don’t build webs but sit-and wait to capture prey. And the varied coloration of body which are gray-white, yellow-green or evan brownish spot pattern reflects the varied habitat they live. Totally twelve genera, and twenty-eight species are reported from Taiwan, including one newly record genus: Ozyptila. The two new species are: Tmarus haituanus sp. nov., Thomisus wutaiensis sp. nov. The seven new record species are: Tmarus longqicus, Ozyptila matsumotoi, Ozyptila nongae, Xysticus ephippiatus, Xysticus kurilensis, Thomisus guangxicus, Synema zonaton. One species, Misumenoides formosipes remained doubtful. This taxonomy study reveals the intact species record and geographical distribution from Taiwan.
