《青春戀愛講義》之中譯與評析

摘要


本論文共分六章,主要探討《青春戀愛講義》(Teen Love: On Relationships, A Book for Teenagers) 之中文翻譯以及分析應用在翻譯活動中的理論和策略。第一章為筆者接下翻譯Teen Love的緣由以及論文架構。第二章「本書介紹」,簡介作者金伯麗克柏格女士及其相關著作,歸納原作各章內容大意,並附上原作和譯書的圖書資料、網路書店提供的原作書評。第三章「原著分析」,針對原作的形式、風格等特色加以分析,以作為研擬翻譯對策的依據;亦探討文化心理與讀者問題在本書翻譯過程中扮演的角色。第四章「翻譯策略與原則」,討論翻譯活動委託者(天下文化出版社)和譯者對本書翻譯的標準。天下文化編輯部訂了一套「譯者備忘錄」供譯者參考,而筆者認為「發揮社會效益」為譯者最高指導原則,是評估問題解決的依據。筆者根據自己的翻譯理念,在原作分析之後訂定翻譯策略,並結合視譯技巧和IBM快樂頌中文語音輸入辨識軟體,應用在來信問答等較口語的部分。第五章「評估」,筆者從編輯的修改和提供的讀者回函,瞭解編輯和市場對《青春戀愛講義》的評價,並自我檢視翻譯成果是否達到原本預期的標準。第六章「結論與心得」,筆者提出一些翻譯實務上的心得和建議,和讀者分享。 The main purposes of this paper are to evaluate the Chinese translation of Teen Love: On Relationships, A Book for Teenagers and to analyze the involvement of theories and activities in the translational action. This paper is divided into six chapters, along with four appendices. The first chapter states the motive for and the structure of this paper. The second chapter gives a brief introduction to the author Kimberly Kirberger and her other relative books, as well as a summary of this book on a chapter-by-chapter basis. The third chapter provides an analysis of the original text in terms of form and style, and a discussion in readership and cultural adaption. The fourth chapter demonstrates the guiding principles held by the translational action initiator and those by the translator. An example of the application of the IBM Via Voice software and sight translation skills in translational practice is also given in this chapter. The fifth chapter focuses on the evaluation of the translation by way of a contrastive analysis between the original translation and the editor’s modification. The sixth chapter sums up the findings and suggestions derived from the translating process.
