《時報周刊》1978-2016 雜誌封面之價值分析─以Pierre Bourdieu觀點為例

摘要


近年來,新舊媒體交替,傳播科技快速變化,媒體間的關係,既合作又競爭。雜誌仍是目標媒體,綜合性娛樂時尚雜誌如何在市場中獲得消費者青睞?本研究針對《時報周刊》的封面人物形象發展演變與布赫迪厄的社會實踐理論相結合,為國內綜合性娛樂時尚雜誌封面的形象研究找到可靠的理論依據。 本文試圖將《時報周刊》,自1978年3月5日所發行的第一本試刊號起至2016年6月止,2000期的雜誌封面。從布赫迪厄的社會學理論這個角度探討,一方面認識台灣雜誌本身的發展、社會演變和它在當前台灣媒介環境中的位置和衝擊,另一方面關照雜誌的文化意識形態和它對受眾和社會文化的未來影響。 布赫迪厄的社會實踐理論,場域、慣習、資本是其理論構建的核心概念。在場域中擁有著高低不同的位置,而這些位置的變化則是由參與者在場域中佔據的資本的數量及質量所決定的。反身性的思考也促使我們正視自身的限制。不只是接受限制,而是從具體的社會學觀點來認識限制,了解所處環境的歷史、文化根源。平面傳媒如何超越自身的限制面對新媒體。深入理解布赫迪厄社會實踐理論的核心概念,有助於在此理論指導下對綜合性周刊雜誌封面進行合理研究。 研究中發現,參與者在場域中由於階層屬性的不同而獲得不同的慣習,慣習一旦形成,必然為這一階層在場域中進行實踐提供原則和準則,同時也對該階層在場域中所占有的資本價值進行合法性的確定。而實踐產生的新原則又會反作用於慣習。《時報周刊》雜誌封面每期,因場域在娛樂、新聞、文化傳播場域中進行文化實踐。

Bourdieu's theory of social practice, field, habitus, capital is the core concept of his theory building.
