大專院校圖書館員對自動化系統知能之研究

摘要

根據過去文獻顯示，在整個圖書館核心業務中，圖書館自動化系統通常扮演了聯繫圖書館內各項業務工作的角色，同時也是跟最多圖書館員相關的資訊科技產品。圖書館自動化系統也是協助圖書館是否能達成圖書館目標及提升圖書館服務品質的重要條件。本研究希望深入瞭解現階段圖書館自動化系統功能與大專院校圖書館員對自動化系統知能研究。
本研究採用內容分析、問卷調查並輔以訪談為主。內容分析以蒐集、整理圖書館自動化系統相關文獻資料，分析各系統之功能。再利用功能建議表製作問卷，調查大專院校圖書館館員對圖書館自動化系統知能。
研究結果顯示針對國外和國內系統進行功能彙整後發現，國內與國外系統的功能模組，在工作性質上並沒有太大的區別。目前自動化系統主要運作模組仍以流通和編目為主，而採訪和期刊模組功能與國內圖書館作業流程不甚相符，圖書館通常選擇不使用該模組或使用部分功能，更甚者為了配合系統功能而調整圖書館作業方式。由此看來，圖書館自動化系統各模組功能和操作流程仍有相當大的改善空間。
最後依據研究結果提出下列幾點建議，以供大專院校圖書館作為參考：1.圖書館自動化系統分級；2. 圖書館與系統廠商應重視且加強互動。

By literatures reviewing, it reveals that Library Automation System ,which called ILS hereafter , takes the key role to liaison among the different perspectives of library business in the kernel operation flows in libraries, which is the information technology product associated with librarians work as well. Meanwhile, ILS is also the critical conditions whether could assist the library to achieve their goal and enhance the quality of the library services. The main purpose of this study is to deeply investigate the functional blocks of ILS and knowledge via its of university librarians
The approaches of this study are included content analysis, questionnaire and interview. As for the content analysis , it collect and organize the related literatures then distinguish the functional blocks among those ILS. Next, make the questionnaire by functions recommended list , investigate the university librarians' knowledge on ILS.
The findings show that there is no significant different between local and international systems, in terms of the working mechanism. The major operating modules of the ILS are still Circulation and Cataloging. Regarding to the Acquisitions and Periodicals, the working mechanism is not aligned with the current local workflow and libraries even change their workflow to adopt the ILS. Therefore, there are still some rooms to improve the ILS features and working mechanism.
Finally, based on findings , the followings are the suggestions for the university library as a reference:
1. ILS should be classified by different sections.
2. The libraries and system vendors should strengthen the interaction and emphasis the points mentioned in this study.
