從《歐樂思–史惟亮檔案》探華歐學社音樂計畫

摘要


1960年代,歐樂思神父(Br. Alois Osterwalder, 1933- )是當時臺灣音樂發展中重要的人物之一。1958年,史惟亮(1926-1977)赴歐洲留學期間,認識了歐樂思神父。1964年底,歐樂思和其他對中西方藝術交流有興趣的朋友們,於波昂成立「華歐學社」,宗旨為促進中國和歐洲互相的認識及交流。因著當時臺灣音樂環境的需要,臺灣音樂圖書館成了華歐學社第一項具體的音樂計畫。在華歐學社的資金贊助下,1965年底「中國青年音樂圖書館」順利開幕。1968年史惟亮再次赴德,協助波昂「中國音樂中心」成立。此機構的成立,使西方人開始有接觸東方音樂的機會。 本文主要藉由分析整理歐樂思神父1960至1970年代的書信,分別探討華歐學社在東西方的音樂計畫與工作。書信中討論的主要音樂機構分別是:中國青年音樂圖書館及波昂中國音樂中心。藉由書信內容的研究,以加強現有文獻的完整性,重現這歷史性的一頁。

Osterwalder, Alois was very important in the development of early music in Taiwan. During Wei-Liang Shih’s study in Europe, he met P. Osterwalder. In the end of 1964, the people from Steyler Missinaries, Shih and Osterwalder are included, organized “Arbeitsgemeinschaft China-Europa” (China-Europe association) in Bonn. Because of the need of Taiwan’s music environment, the music library in Taipei became China-Europe association’s first concrete project. With the support from the association, “China Youth Music Library” opened in the end of 1965. In 1968, Shih went back to Germany again to help the establishment of “Chinese Music Center” in Bonn, in order to promote cultural exchanges in music between east and west. By reading and analyzing the letters between Osterwalder and others, this thesis is going to discuss the music projects and works of China-Europe association. Most of the letters are talking about “China Youth Music Library” and “Chinese Music Center” in Bonn. By the research of letters can make the documents more complete, and also make the history reappear.
