台灣中部少年人的語言態度佮影響因素研究

摘要

本論文主要想欲調查臺灣中部少年人的語言態度。佇早前的學術研究內底，少年人對台語的語言態度攏是較負面的結果，mā共少年人的語言使用比例變低當做主要影響態度的原因。本研究想欲深入了解，若是以台語做第一語言的中部少年人，in的語言態度敢mā是負面的結果？而且，影響語言態度的因素，毋但是語言使用爾爾，社會媒體的傳播，mā可能改變少年人態度的原因之一，所以，除了語言態度的調查以外，電視媒體的影響因素是本研究第二个探討的重點。
研究發現，臺灣中部少年人的語言態度，透過第一个實驗，佇無仝款的場合內底，少年人對台語的態度，攏是呈現正面的結果。有這个調查結果了後，閣進行第二个實驗，討論影響語言態度的因素，結果證明，少年人確實會受媒體的影響，改變原本的語言態度，而且加深對台語的刻板印象(stereotype)佮語言意識。佇上落尾的訪談過程，閣分析少年人降低語言使用的原因，是受社會上華語環境的影響，改變in的語言選擇，就算少年人對台語有真懸的情感價值，in的語言態度猶是會受影響。

This study investigates the language attitudes of young people in central Taiwan. In earlier studies, the　analysis of survey results indicated that young people had negative language attitude towards Taiwanese. This was also stated to be the major factor causing young people to reduce their use of this language. This study attempts to discover whether young people whose first language is Taiwanese do in fact have a language attitude which is significantly impacted by negativity.
Additionally, the possible factors that influence language attitudes are not entirely tied to language use, since the media also plays a possibly significant role in changing young people’s attitude towards language.
Accordingly, aside from surveying language attitude, visual media factors are also an important second issue that this paper will discuss.
Research findings: In different domains, young people have a positive attitude towards Taiwanese following the first experiment. The second experiment is based on the results of the first research investigating factors which affect language attitudes. It was found that young people had changed their language attitudes because of media influence.　Furthermore, the media also caused young people to acquire or deepen stereotypes and ideological stances about Taiwanese which were negative. During the last interview, one reason that young people reduced the rate of language use is because their environment is dominated by Mandarin.This also caused young people to change their language choices. In other words, although young people have a great emotional attachment to Taiwanese, their language attitude is still affected.
