雜誌及期刊出版業編輯人員之職能分析研究

A Study on Competency Analysis of Editors in Publishing of Journals and Periodicals

摘要


隨著數位時代來臨,出版產業除面臨轉型外,編輯方式及技術亦隨數位時代資訊科技發達而有所改變,因應此快速轉變,從事於雜誌及期刊出版業之編輯的編輯職能重新建構變得相對急迫,因此,本研究研究問題如下:一、雜誌及期刊出版業編輯應有的編輯職能為何?二、雜誌及期刊出版業編輯職能對雜誌及期刊出版業編輯的重要程度與具備程度為何?三、編輯職能的重要程度與具備程度,在不同背景變項的雜誌及期刊出版業編輯身上差異情形為何?首先使用冰山理論之五個層面為基礎,使用文獻分析法綜合出相關研究之編輯職能後,經由學者專家審查做成「雜誌編輯職能研究問卷」,以所建構之問卷調查雜誌及期刊出版業編輯具備之職能及其重要性,經由154份問卷調查後,藉由因素分析後建構出57項職能項目。研究結果發現,雜誌及期刊出版業編輯認為編輯職能以知識層面之職能最為重要,而雜誌及期刊出版業編輯最具備動機層面的編輯職能,又透過重要性及表現程度分析法,得出雜誌及期刊出版業編輯認為重要且已具備的能力為知識層面、動機層面及人格層面之職能,而亟待改善為技術層面中的管理能力。最後,在進行統計分析後發現編輯職能會因不同的性別、年齡、教育程度、畢業學系、職位、編輯項目及編輯年資而有不同的看重程度,但其中只有不同年齡、職位、編輯項目、編輯年資之雜誌及期刊出版業編輯對編輯職能的具備程度存有差異,根據研究結果本研究提出建議,並期待後續能有更深入之研究。

With the digital age, the editing methods and technologies of the publishing industry have changed with the development of information technology in the digital age. In response to this rapid change, the restructuring of the competencies of editors in publishing of journals and Periodicals has become relatively urgent. Therefore, the research questions of this study are as follows: 1. What the competencies dose the editors in publishing of journals and periodicals need? 2. How important and possess degree are the competencies about the editors in publishing of journals and periodicals? 3. What is the difference between the importance and the possess degree of editing competencies among editors in publishing of journals and periodicals with different background variables? In order to react research questions, first, based on the five levels of the iceberg theory, using the literature analysis method to synthesize the editing competencies of related research, the "magazine editing function research questionnaire" is made through the review by scholars and experts. With regard to the competencies possess degree and their importance, the results of the survey by 154 editors were analyzed through factor analysis to construct 57 competencies items. The results of the study found that editors in publishing of journals and periodicals believe that the most important editing competencies is the knowledge level, while editing competencies in motivating level are highest scores of all of the editors in publishing of journals and periodicals have, and through the importance-performance analysis method, editors publishing of journals and periodicals believe that the important and existing capabilities are the competencies in knowledge level, motivation level and personality level, and urgently need to be improved into the management capabilities of the technical level. Finally, after a statistical analysis, it was found that the editing competencies will have different degrees of importance due to different genders, ages, educational levels, graduation departments, positions, editing items and editing job tenure, but only among them are different ages, positions, editing items, editors in publishing of journals and periodicals have different levels of editing competencies. Based on the research results, this study makes recommendations and looks forward to more in-depth research in the future.
