賦權與削權動機氣候對大專籃球選手運動投入之預測:以教練選手關係為中介變項

The Prediction of Empowering and Disempowering Motivational Climates on Sport Engagement among College Basketball Players: The Mediating effect of Coach-athlete Relationship

摘要


目的:本研究主要在探討大專籃球選手知覺教練賦權與削權動機氣候對教練-選手 關係及運動投入之預測,並檢驗教練-選手關係在兩者之間的中介效果。方法:以 109 學 年度大專校院籃球聯賽公開一級之 24 隊伍的籃球選手為研究對象。以「賦權與削權動 機氣候量表」、「教練-選手關係量表」與「運動投入量表」分別測量選手知覺教練的賦 權與削權動機氣候、教練-選手關係與運動投入,共計發放 310 份問卷,有效問卷共計 291 份。所得料經描述性統計、皮爾森積差相關、簡單線性迴歸及多元階層迴歸進行分 析。結果:(一) 大專籃球選手知覺賦權與削權動機氣候皆能有效預測教練選手關係與運 動投入;(二) 大專籃球選手知覺教練-選手關係能有效預測運動投入;(三) 大專籃球選 手之教練-選手關係在賦權或削權動機氣候與運動投入之間皆具有完全中介效果。結論: (一) 大專籃球選手知覺教練塑造愈多的賦權動機氣候時,教練-選手關係也就愈好,而 選手運動投入程度就愈高,削權動機氣候反之;(二) 教練-選手關係愈好時,運動投入 程度就愈高;(三) 賦權動機氣候與削權動機氣候無法直接影響運動投入,但可透過教練 -選手關係影響運動投入上。研究建議大專籃球教練在指導選手時,可提升賦權動機氣候 及減少削權動機氣候,不僅能增進教練選手彼此之情感,亦能提升選手運動投入。

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate predictive utility of empowering and disempowering motivational climates on coach-athlete relationship and sport engagement among college basketball players, and to examine the mediating effect of coach-athlete relationship. Methods: The participants were 291 basketball players recruited 24 basketball teams who competed at the Division-I University Basketball Association (UBA) in 2020-2021. The players were requested to compete Empowering and disempowering motivation climate scale, Coach-athlete relationship scale, and Sport engagement scale which assessed their perception of empowering and disempowering motivation climate, coach-athlete relationship and Sport engagement. After the data collection, descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlations, and simple linear regression, and hierarchical regression analyses were used to analyze data. Results: (1) Both the empowering and disempowering motivational climates can be effectively predicted coach-athlete relationship and sport engagement. (2) Coach-athlete relationship can positively predicted sport engagement. (3) The coach-athlete relationship fully mediated the prediction between empowering or disempowering motivational climate and sport engagement. Conclusion: (1) The basketball players perceived more empowering motivational climates from the coaches, the better the coach-player relationship, and the higher the sport engagement, and vice versa. (2) The better the coach-athlete relationship, the higher the sport engagement. (3) Empowering and disempowering motivational climates can’t directly affected sport engagement, but it can affected sport engagement through the coach-athlete relationship. Research suggests that coaches can enhance the empowerment motivational climates and reduce the disempowering motivational climate when coaching players. This can not only improve relationship between coaches and players, but also increase sport engagement.
