In view of the introspection of the economic academia after the subprime mortgage crisis and the potential influence of China on Taiwan, the study aims to explore the contents and characteristics of China's general senior high school economic education. To understand the characteristics of economic curriculum in China, we employed the method of mixed research, including the comparative method in curriculum guidelines between different countries and periods, the word frequency analysis and the critical discourse analysis of textbooks. The results show that the economic education of general senior high schools in China has the following three characteristics. First is the reduction and weakening of economic professional knowledge in China nowadays education. In addition, the curriculum goal is to convey the positive recognition of the government and policies. Finally, the curriculum emphasizes the specific values such as labor spirit and corporate integrity.
