學校圖書館志工投入圖書館經營與閱讀推廣之個案研究

A case study of school library volunteers' involvement in library management and reading promotion

摘要


本研究主要係為了解學校圖書館志工投入圖書館經營與閱讀推廣之動機和持續參與因素,並探討志工於志願服務過程中之貢獻、個人成長與獲益,以及志工本身對於閱讀推廣活動之看法與建議。   為瞭解長期持續參與志願服務之志工之經驗,本研究以立意取樣選取服務年資超過三年者為研究對象,並使用半結構式訪談法蒐集相關研究資料,接著將訪談資料謄抄成逐字稿以進行資料之整理、編碼與分析,得出以下四項研究結果: 一、學校圖書館志工最初投入圖書館志願服務與閱讀推廣活動之主要動機多以小孩為主,未過半數具有複數動機,相較其他場域之志工而言單純。 二、學校圖書館志工一般於小孩就讀小學一或二年級時投入志願服務工作,安排固定時間值班之志工人數較多。 三、學校圖書館志工投入圖書館志願服務與閱讀推廣活動之持續服務因素多元且互相重疊,所有志工皆願意於未來持續投入圖書館志願服務,但以時間安排較為彈性的機動形式為主。 四、學校圖書館志工對於個案學校圖書館之閱讀推廣活動感到滿意,但認為學校本身的閱讀教育及臺灣目前的閱讀推廣政策規劃可再加強。

The purpose of this study is to understand the motivations and continuing factors of school library volunteers in library operation and reading promotion, and to explore the contributions, personal growth, and benefits of volunteers in the process of volunteering, as well as the volunteers' views and suggestions on reading promotion activities.   In order to understand the experiences of volunteers who have continued to participate in volunteer services, this study selected those with more than three years of service as the research subjects and used a semi-structured interview method to collect data. The interview data were then converted into verbatim transcripts for data collation, coding, and analysis. Results of this study were summarized and concluded as follows: 1. Most of the school library volunteers' initial motivation for volunteering is children, and less than half of them have plural motivation, which is simple compared to the volunteers in other places. 2. School library volunteers usually start volunteering when children are in first or second grade, and more volunteers will go to serve at regular intervals. 3. The continuing factors of school library volunteers are multiple and overlapping . All volunteers are willing to continue to participate in library volunteering in the future, but with a more flexible schedule. 4. The school library volunteers were satisfied with the school library reading promotion activities in the case, but thought that the reading promotion and reading education planning in Taiwan could be further strengthened.
