Shortly after the Two-factor motivation theory was proposed by psychologist Frederick Herzberg in 1950s, many scholars conducted their researches explaining employee motivation for a long period of time. This study randomly selected 175 effective responses from certain securities firm in Taiwan and was subjected to final statistical analysis. The Questionnaire item for motivation and hygiene factor used the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) and Job Descriptive Index (JDI) scales. Final statistical analysis was carried out using principal component, factor analysis, and canonical correlation analysis to examine the canonical correlation of Herzberg’s Two-Factor motivation model. The result of this study shows that the hygiene and motivation factors are positively correlated.
