摘要
面對全球化的潮流，台灣目前正面臨到一個全新的政經局勢，並且進入到國際競爭的模式。現階段，國際文化與經貿關係已逐步取代傳統的國際政治關係。而且因為國際經貿與文化活動係透過各國城市網路來聯繫，因此每一城市無不希望成為城市網路之重要樞紐。在全球化的產業變遷趨勢下，台灣各個地方政府必須面對之重要課題是：地方政府如何運用適當的策略，促使地區與各國城市網路接軌，以帶動地區產業發展。 桃園縣在推動會展產業方面較為緩慢，但是卻具備了地理位置及交通便利之優勢，更有能與國際接軌的國際機場。因此本研究彚整國內外會展產業相關文獻。先針對大環境之趨勢利用「PEST分析」進行分析，歸納出國內目前會展產業外部環境因素的影響因子，並將分析結果套用在SWOT分析中，進而瞭解國內會展產業發展的趨勢。再利用此發展趨勢提出桃園縣相關之競爭優勢及發展建議，最後提出相關的競爭策略。 最後可歸納出桃園縣發展會展產業之可行性及競爭策略，並提供決策單位往後發展桃園縣會展產業之參考。

Confronted with the trend of globalization, Taiwan is facing a new political and economic situation, and has also been involved in the pattern of international competition. International cultural and trading relations have gradually replaced the traditional political relations at present. Moreover, the international trade and cultural activities are connected by the national urban network; each city is, therefore, willing to become an important hub of the urban network. Facing the tendency of globalized changing industries, the important issue, that local governments have to confront with, is how to strategically link up the region with the international urban network to promote local industries. Although the promotion of the MICE industry in Taoyuan County is relatively slow, Taoyuan County has the advantage of geographical location and convenient transportation, and most of all is having the international airport with international standards. Therefore, this study is using PEST and SWOT analysis which were based upon established theory. Firstly, use of PEST analysis to analyze the trend of the environment, summed up the impact factor of the MICE industry in the external environmental factors, and then, placed the results into the SWOT analysis to explore the development trend of domestic MICE industry. Finally, we can utilize the development trends to acquire the competitive edge and development proposals in Taoyuan County to propose a relevant competitive strategy. Finally, conclude the feasibility and competitive strategy of the MICE industry in the development of Taoyuan County, and provide decision-making unit back to the development of Taoyuan County Convention and Exhibition industry reference.
