臺灣傳統建築之柱礎雕刻研究

A study of traditional architecture pedestal in Taiwan

摘要

本文以列入古蹟的台灣傳統建築之柱礎爲研究對象，探討傳統建築柱礎雕刻之發展歷史，並對於台灣傳統建築柱礎雕刻石材、技法作分析。藉由田野調查的實例，分析傳統建築柱礎雕刻在台灣各個時期的形制與風格特色。試著將台灣傳統建築柱礎雕刻題材類型及內容歸納整理。說明影響台灣傳統建築柱礎雕刻的歷史背景、宗教信仰、社會文化與自然環境等因素。最後對台灣傳統建築柱礎之現况與提出保存維護建議。
主要章節內容如下：
第一章，說明本論文之研究動機與目的、研究範圍的界定、研究方法的提出與研究流程、以及前人研究成果的回顧。
第二章，首先論述中國古建築中柱礎的發展及源流，以作爲探討台灣柱礎雕刻演變之基礎。再者，整理與台灣傳統建築發展具有淵源的福建、廣東地區之柱礎形制。最後，說明石作之雕刻技法與裝飾分類，主要探討文獻中石雕之施作技法與現今的雕造方式。
第三章，主要以田野調查探訪台灣各個時期之傳統建築的柱礎實例，並且依照其年代將之分期爲清領時期、日治時期、戰後三個階段。在不同的時代背景下，探討臺灣傳統建築柱礎雕刻的形制演變與不同階段之發展。
第四章，爲分析臺灣傳統建築柱礎雕刻之工藝特色爲主軸。首先，以地域來勾勒台灣柱礎雕刻的不同裝飾風格特色。再者，分析台灣柱礎的形制種類。最後，將柱礎的裝飾內容加以分類為植物類、動物類、人物類、器物類與圖紋類，探討吉祥圖案的寓意。
第五章，總結本論文之調查與研究成果，論定柱礎在傳統建築結構上的地位、建築空間上的美感平衡、與裝飾內涵上的藝術和價值，並且陳述其保存現況以及未來維護之建議。

This paper studies the pedestal of traditional architecture in Taiwan. Including the development of pedestal carving, and analysis of techniques. Assaying the Shape and features in different periods of raditional architecture in Taiwan. Try to generalize thesubject matter from field investigation. Describing the effect on pedestal carving of traditional architecture in Taiwan, such as historical background；socio-cultural and the natural environment. Finally, presenting the maintenance recommendations of the pedestal of traditional architecture in Taiwan.The outlines of this thesis are as follow:

Chapter I. : Describing the motivation and purpose of study, defining the scope of the study, Research methods and processes proposed, and results of previous studies reviewed.
Chapter II.：First, discussed the pedestal of Chinese architecture development. Furthermore, generalizing the development of the pedestal of traditional architecture in Fujian and Guangdong. Finally, note the stone Sculpture and decorating techniques classification.
Chapter III.：Visit Different periods of Taiwan's traditional architecture,Installment in accordance with their age lead to the Qing Dynasty, the Japanese colonial period, and post-war three stages. Assaying the shape evolution of the pedestal of traditional architecture in Taiwan .
Chapter IV. : Analysis the pedestal of traditional building craft features in Taiwan. Discuss The moral of auspicious patterns and classified the decoration as plants, animals, people, objects and pattern.
Chapter V. : Summarizes the results of surveys and research. presenting the maintenance recommendations of the pedestal of traditional architecture in Taiwan.
