低成本接收機廣播系統之二元碼書設計

摘要


廣播系統長期以來都使用在無線通訊系統,近期一些單點傳播(unicast)、多點傳播 (multicast)或是廣播系統(broadcast service)的低資料傳輸率(data rate)備受關注, 尤其是 由那些機器類型通訊(MTC)所提供。 對於開發這些MTC 服務的主要關切在於接受器的損耗和服務的涵蓋範圍。 二元碼書(binary code)提供一個有前景的技術對於擴張基地台的涵蓋範圍透過重新覆 蓋遺失的封包。 為了減少接收器的損耗,低成本的無線廣播接收器使用較少的緩衝器(buffer)去針對 封包解碼(coded packets)。 在這篇論文中我們重閱二元碼書(binary codebook)對於低成本接收器的設計問題,主 要關注在廣播系統中不同使用者遭受到不同的封包損耗機率。 模擬結果顯示我們新設計的碼書對於廣播系統的低成本接收器可以證明一個較好的 編碼增益(coding gain)。

Broadcasting has long been a primary service in wireless communication systems. Recently, some low data rate unicast, multicast, or broadcast services, especially those provided by machine type communication (MTC), has drawn much attention. The main concern for the deployment of those MTC services is the receiver cost and the service coverage. Binary coding has been proved to be a promising technique to extend the base station coverage by recovering lost packets. In order to pull in the receiver cost, a low cost wireless broadcast receiver is used which uses less number of buffer to decoded the coded packets. In this work, we revisit the binary codebook design problem for low cost receiver by mainly focusing on the broadcast system where different group of users suffer from different packet loss probabilities. Simulation results show that our newly designed codebook can sustain a good portion of coding gain for broadcast system with the low cost receiver.
