鹽水溪集水區流域因高度開發及流量低,區內之工業、家庭及養豬廢水造成河川之嚴重污染,本研究收集鹽水溪流域之環境資料,並以其主要污染物生化需氧量,使用QUAL2E模式模擬河川之BOD-DO狀況。本研究結合水理之QUAL2E模式與地理資訊系統(Geographic Information System, GIS)。水理模式能預估不同時空下,污染物負荷的改變及預測其對土地管理改變的影響。GIS的優點是能利用視覺,以解釋及使人瞭解污染物的影響。二者的結合,可使使用者更能掌握調查所得不同時空下之複雜水質資料。本研究結果初步應可利用GIS及有關繪圖技術,結合水理模式在網路上之展示或傳播使用。然而,相關軟體完美的介面結合,才能成功發揮前述軟體在水質分析、預測視覺展示及溝通等之功能。
Yen-Shui River has relatively low stream flows and highly developed watershed. Due to significant waste discharge from domestic, industrial and pig farming, the river is heavily polluted. This research collects the updated environmental data of watershed of Yen-Shui River. Also simulates the BOD-DO condition using QUAL2E model.Together, these two software packages enable users to interact with water quality variables in order to investigate the spatial and temporal complexity of the data. This result of this research is that graphing and Geographic Information System (GIS) are capable of being implemented over the Internet and that complex water quality data can be disseminated using this medium. However, there remains a need to seamlessly link the graphing and GIS software which will make the visualization tools much more successful at communicating the complex spatial and temporal data.
