航空影像道路偵測與內容註記

Road Detection and Content Annotation for Aerial Images

摘要


本論文提出了一種用於航空影像的自動道路辨識方法。本論文提出的道路辨識方法主要是基於邊緣偵測,依照道路有兩條平行線的特點,當本論文的方法偵測到有兩條平行線時,會計算兩條平行線之中心位置也就是道路的中心,並且使用兩條平行線之寬度或是道路中心長度的限制來選取道路中心。由於邊緣偵測不一定能把地圖上所有道路兩側的輪廓都標示清楚,因此本研究提出了擴展道路中心,以及連結其他道路中心的方法。在連結兩個道路中心時,本論文依據道路的斜率來判別道路是否有關聯,進而決定是否將兩道路中心連結。在延伸道路中心時,則是依據道路邊緣斜率進行延伸。實驗結果顯示,本論文所辨識出的道路,結果比Shao等人所提出來的方法以及Sun等人所提出來的方法為佳,錯誤的標示也較少。當圖像上的道路都辨識完成時,本論文進一步將辨識出道路之航空影像與Google Earth的影像進行比對,利用比對結果將Google Earth影像轉至相符角度,然後提取出Google Earth的內容標記,標註到航空視訊圖像或是影片上,實驗結果顯示影像比對結果的正確性高,可以有效輔助視訊內容標註。

In this study, a method automatically detects roads in the aerial image is proposed. The method, based on edge detection, detects parallel lines in the image and calculates centers of parallel lines as road centers. By examining width and size-to-length ratio, the proposed method corrects mislabeled road centers. Besides that, the proposed method further links two center segments together when they are found to belong to the same road. Experimental results show that the proposed method can detect most of the roads in the aerial image, and the results are better than that of the Shao et al.’s method and the Sun et al.’s method. Besides recognizing roads appeared in the aerial image, this study also registers the aerial image with the Google Earth image. The registration results help to add Google Earth annotation to the aerial image.
