摘要


本碩士論文主要是以聚乙烯醇(PolyVinyl Alcohol, PVA)製作複合材料並研究其於薄片電池、燃料電池和變色材料之應用。在本研究中,分別製備三項不同之PVA複合材料,並研究其電化學行為。 第一研究為PVA-碘複合材料,作為電解質,製作液體狀態電化學電池,特別地,是使用電泳技術自行形成的多孔隔板於電池陰極和陽極層間,製作先進的一種無隔板薄片電池。 第二項研究為PVA-甲殼素(Chitosan) 複合材料膜,作為質子交換膜(proton exchange membrane;PEM),直接應用在直接甲醇燃料電池(direct methanol fuel cell;DMFC),製作一種無隔板直接甲醇燃料電池,省略傳統燃料電池中陰極與陽極之間隔膜(如Nafion.膜),其電化學反應可以在室溫狀況下使用。 第三項研究是PVA-指示劑結合為複合材料,製作一種熱致變色和電致變色材料並研究其特性。

The principle objective of this dissertation is focused on the preparation of PVA composites for applying to batteries, fuel cells and chromic devices. In this research, three different studies are used to explore the electrochemical behavior and application of PVA composites. The first study relates to PVA-iodine complex thin layer, liquid state electrochemical cells with, specially, self-formed porous separating separator layer between negative and positive electrode layers. The objective of this proposal is to use electrophoretic deposition technology to produce advanced thin batteries without separating membrane. The second study relates to PVA-Chitosan composite for proton exchange membrane (PEM) of direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC), a new fuel cell fabricated by using a design that omits the membrane (e.g. Nafion®) normally used to separate anodic and cathodic compartments, is an advanced electrochemical reactor being operated operating at low temperature and has advantages over membraneless in construction. The third study relates to preparation of PVA-indicator composites for ectrochromic and thermochromic materials.
