運用液態光學膠於三維顯示器之光柵板貼合技術

摘要


「裸眼3D立體顯示」是利用人兩眼間視差的特性,在不需任何外在輔助設備情況下,即可獲得具有空間及深度的逼真立體影像。 本研究針對視差光柵欄式,其原理是在薄膜電晶體液晶顯示器(TFT LCD )上加一片扭轉向列型視差屏障光柵欄板(TN Parallax Barrier),增加此道製程就可做出能觀賞3D顯示器硬體設備。 本論文為使用液態光學膠做為TFT LCM與TN Parallax Barriers間貼合,主要研究利用貼合液態光學膠材做為兩者貼合用膠材,其液態光學膠材必須能經偏光板阻隔下仍然能達完成固化效果,並且能通過相關信賴性測試及輝度值測試等驗證。 其次為使用自製簡易貼合設備做為研究用設備,驗證貼合精度及貼合良率是否符合要求再做後續相關製程作業。

3D Autostereoscopic Display is a technology which utilizes the optical parallax to allow people to view a vivid stereoscopic image owning spatial features and depth of field without the use of any external auxiliary devices. The present study concerns about the application of parallax barrier. When a Twist Nematic Parallax Barrier (TN Parallax Barrier) is put on the Thin-Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT LCD), a display unit favorable for a 3D image watching is obtained. To facilitate the lamination of TFT LCM and TN Parallax Barrier, a liquid optical adhesive is used as the binding agent. The adhesive is of a type that can be cured even if it is obstructed by a polarizer, and is surely able to pass relevant reliability test and luminance test. A self-set up and simple lamination equipment is used in the present study. After the precision and the quality of the lamination are inspected against relevant requirements, process for a formal manufacture shall be developed.
