照明與人類文明密不可分,隨著科學技術一日千里,照明科技近年來也有技術上大突破:LED的照明應用,LED相較於過往的照明光源,優點不在話下,然而LED在進入真正商業照明,住宅照明仍有需改善之處,演色性則為一大LED進入商業照明市場是相當重要的指標之一,LED光源的演色性色彩表現將直接影響被照物體的色彩真實表現程度,目前單一螢光粉之高效率白光LED,其演色性約為70,尚無法滿足室內照明或商業照明所需之色彩表現,為了解決此問題,目前普遍以混合兩種以上的螢光粉摻雜技術,來獲得高演色性之白光LED。然而使用多種螢光粉混合摻雜的方式,因光取出效率不佳而導致發光效率降低,使高效率白光LED於室內照明領域上,還無法獲得全面性的推廣。為了達到高品質節能照明的目的,本研究提出以雙層遠離螢光粉封裝結構技術達到高效率兼具高演色性之白光LED,在350mA電流驅動下,此雙層式與混合式螢光粉封裝之白光LED之發光效率提升10.31%且演色性仍高達90,使其滿足室內照明所需的高品質,並保有LED節能之特性。
Color rendering index (CRI) and luminous efficiency are two important characteristics of light sources for LED to penetrate into commercial lighting market. Color rendition regarding the light source of LED can influence the actual extent of objects as displayed by color, if color rendering is poor, the light source will not useful for general lighting. Present the color rendering index about 70 of the high efficiency white LED by single phosphor. It cannot yet accommodate to the color performance needed by indoor lighting or commercial lighting. To resolve the problem, more than two kinds of phosphors are mixed method, then obtained high color rendering index of white LED. However, for mixture using several kinds of phosphors its luminous efficiency is lowered as light-extraction efficiency is unfavorable; lead to make high-efficiency white LED is used on indoor lighting, it can still not obtain comprehensive promotion. To achieve the purpose of high-quality and energy conservation, in this paper has proposed bi-layered remote phosphor package structure technology to achieve high-efficiency as well as high color rendering index white light. It is also found that the phosphor conversion efficiency of bi-layered remote phosphor structure is higher than that of mixed phosphor structure. This is attributed to the enhanced light extraction from the LED packages. In addition, the color temperature compared bi-layered remote phosphor with mixed phosphor white LEDs are almost the same under current regulation conditions. From under drive current of 350mA, such bi-layered and mixed phosphors package white LED can improve up to 10.31% of luminous efficiency as well as 90 CRI so that it can accommodate high quality needed for indoor lighting and safeguard the feature of energy conservation of LED.
