This thesis presents the design and implementation of an isolated full-bridge boost DC /DC converter with an active clamp circuit. The proposed converter is a current-fed full-bridge converter with high step-up ratio and high output power. Phase-shift control of the full-bridge switches is utilized to obtain soft-switching feature. In addition, this thesis proposes a flyback snubber to alleviate voltage spike, and to improve the efficiency of the converter in high power operation. Finally, a 1.7kW hardware has been implemented to verify the feasibility of the converter.
