台灣TFT-LCD(Thin Film Transistor – Liquid Crystal Display)平面顯示器產業在2000年初期的蓬勃發展，並非偶然，因為上游的半導體產業及下游的筆記型電腦和顯示器設計代工產業，台灣早已在全球佔有舉足輕重地位，挾上下游整合的力量，進軍關鍵零組件-面板，其實早有跡可循。但自2008年金融海嘯之後，全球消費力驟降，資訊產品的需求成長趨緩，且售價急速下滑，這對於投資金額龐大的面板產業來說，無疑雪上加霜，也造成面板廠鉅額虧損。
本篇論文以Michael Porter所提出的鑽石模型及五力分析模型為研究架構，並以DEMATEL作為研究工具，討論台灣面板產業的競爭優勢。
研究結果顯示，「現有競爭者的威脅」、「需求條件」及「政府」等三項為最具影響力的要素，研究中也針對這三項要素提出未來面板產業發展方向的建議。

Abstract
Taiwan’s TFT-LCD industry has been developed prosperously since 2000, but after the financial tsunami in 2008, the panel makers, includes Innolux, AUO, CPT, & Hannstar, have been facing great loss. This thesis aims to discuss the competitive advantages of Taiwan’s TFT-LCD industry.
Firstly, this thesis discusses the diamond model and five forces analysis model which were developed by Michael E. Porter. The structure of the whole thesis takes Michael Porter’s diamond theory and five forces analysis models as the basis. In addition, through the interview with the experts from the benchmarking enterprises and institutions in the TFT-LCD related industries, it verifies the obtained data by the DEMATEL method, and finally obtains the three key factors are (1) Rivalry among existing competitors, (2) Demand conditions, (3) Government.
