In the past, it was common that one single industrial standard could last for decades, and there was space for corporates to adjust themselves to adopt the standards. But as the progress of our civilization, we are now in a rapid-changing epoch. The industrial standards are replaced every few years, and enterprises need new strategies to make decisions under the circumstances that the market is still in the early stage which exists multiple industrial standards. But in the market of standard and technology, the winner is not always who has relatively greater resources or better features, and the outcome might be quite interesting if we review the causes of victory. This paper researches three examples of standard war and analyze the situation of each case in order to find the dominant factors in competing for survival. Although standard varies from industry to industry, these factors still have strong impact on standard war, and the interaction of them brings up compound effect which leads to the final result. I classified 4 factors in evaluating the competitiveness of certain standard and 3 kinds of strategies based on the 4 factors. The corporate should take these factors in consideration when making their business strategies and reevaluate them annually. If the market or industry has been changed, the strategies should be modified according to the difference to increase the survival rate of the business. Survival of the fittest, the unfit eliminated.
