雲端系統重構工具

A Cross-Cloud System Reconfiguration Tool

摘要


IaaS 是一項已被廣泛採用的雲端服務。系統擁有者可將其系統建構在向雲端資源提供者租用的設備上,雲端平台使系統擁有者能隨時調整索求的資源,虛擬化技術的應用使得動態的資源調整變得更加容易。 「資源調整」以系統的角度而言稱為「系統重構」,重構是在一系統生命週期中非常重要的一個環節。因此,本論文提出一個幫助系統管理者便於重構其雲端系統的工具。本論文會先提出一個完整的對於系統重構指令的定義,該定義顧及了多項現實的重構需求。接著,本論文會實作支援該定義指令的系統重構工具,且該工具還具有跨雲端平台、隨插即用、避免服務中斷等特性。

Infrastructure-as-a- Service (IaaS) has been a widely adopted cloud service for system owners to build their systems in the clouds. Clouds allow system owners to adjust their resource allocation dynamically on demand. Virtualization is actually the technology used for delivering the cloud resource. In such way, the implementation of the dynamic resources allocation would be easier. From system’s perspective, resource adjustment is actually “reconfiguration”. Reconfiguration is an important issue in the system life cycle. This thesis work is to propose a tool for helping the system managers to reconfigure their system easily. The work first gives a complete definition on reconfiguration command. This definition covers the common requirements in the reconfiguration issue, such as scaling direction and scaling policy. Second, the work implements the tool following that definition. Besides, the proposed tool is designed in the manner of to several principles, such as cross-cloud, plug-and-work, and discontinuity avoidance.
