秀美的旅程-陳若曦小說的女性成長

摘 要

本文以「秀美的旅程」為主標，旨在證成改名「若曦」的「女性」作家其人其文在這方面的相關轉變及成長：若曦似陽的自我期許，確實可見她不受「閨秀」侷限的所作所為，然而，一路走來，卻又始終以「女性」為念，此種特色的小說美學與生命實踐，發人深省，多所啟示。「秀美的旅程」宜其此稱也，同時也兼向她〈巴里的旅程〉致意。在方法上本文以其生命歷程的空間移動為簡單分期，討論其每個階段小說中女性角色呈現出的意涵。
台大外文系《現代文學》階段，對於生活周遭鄉土女性角色的生動描摹，為其女性意識的潛伏期。1966年進入中國大陸，歷經「文化大革命」後，1974年發表系列的文革小說，呈現女性在政治動盪中，幽微但堅韌的生命力，相較於文革中的知識分子，陳若曦為她們呈現出多元的面貌。美加二十載，陳若曦活躍於華人文學界，作品中有意識的以女性處境及觀察為創作主題，可見其女性意識的發展。1995返台定居，作者進入晚晴婦女基金會，深入參與台灣女性問題，小說創作更清楚展現其對女性生命、遭遇的關懷。因為接觸台灣佛教，陳若曦更前所未有的以女性與佛教為主題，創作了佛教小說《慧心蓮》、《重返桃花源》。

Abstract

In the book, " Xiumei's Journey " in the contral core, is aimed to justify renamed " Ruo-Xi " in "female" writer and his works -related changes and growth in this area : Ruo-Xi like male self-expectations , she does not really visible subject to the " lady " limitations did, however , along the way, but always with "woman" in mind , this novel aesthetic characteristics and life practice , thought-provoking , more than inspiration. " Xiumei's Journey " This says it should have , and also to her < Bari Trip> compliments . In this paper, the method of its space to move for a simple life course stages , discussed the role of women in each stage of the novel presents implications .
National Taiwan University Department of Foreign Languages "Modern Literature " stage, depicting the lively local life around the role of women ,represents the incubation period for female consciousness .in 1966 ,she began to live in the Chinese mainland. After the Cultural Revolution in 1974 she published a series of novels , showing women in political turmoil, faint but tenacious vitality , compared intellectuals during the Cultural Revolution . Chen Ruoxi show a diverse look. Canada 20 set , Chen Ruo-xi was active in the Chinese literary works in conscious female observation of the situation and for the creation of themes , showing the development of female consciousness. Chen Ruo-xi returned to Taiwan in 1995 and settled down , she took part in Reaching Women's Foundation , deeply involved in women's issues in Taiwan .Her novels demonstrate more clearly its concern for women's lives ,and encounters . Because her contacts with Buddhism in Taiwan , Chen Ruo-xi more than ever reached to the theme of women and Buddhism , Buddhist wrote the novel " Hui Hsin Lien " , "Return to Utopia ".
