差異式服務網路中RED機制對串流影像品質改善之研究

摘要


隨著各種網路運用與傳送資料型態的多元與多樣性:網路電話(VOIP, voice over IP)、視訊電話(Video over IP)、視訊會議(Video conference)、社交網路服務(Social Network Service)等,網際網路傳送封包時,一般皆使用盡力服務(best-effort service)機制,將封包一視同仁傳輸於網路,由於影像封包彼此之間具有關聯性,因此將受到影響。 本研究提出在差異式服務網路模型中改善佇列管理機制使得接收端有更佳的效能與影像品質。此機制有兩個部份:第一,利用差異性服務欄位(DS Filed)中CU(Currently Unused)進行分類;第二,改善的RIO-C(RED with in/out and Coupled average Queues)機制對影像封包進行差異式佇列管理,在不同網路負載下,依據影像封包之間的關聯性,盡可能降低影像封包遭到隨機的丟棄,進而維持接收端的基本影像品質,有效的增加接收端接收影像封包的品質。最後並利用長時間影片傳輸、動靜態影片、改變Video server數量等實驗模擬方式進行驗證。

With the various applications of Internet and data transmission such as Voice over IP, Video over IP, Video Conference, and Social Network Service...etc, generally, the use of the Internet Best-Effort Service Mechanism, transmitting video packages to Internet as equal, have the relationship with video packages that made an impact on the Internet. According to this study, improving the management of queue mechanism on the basis of the Differentiated Service makes receivers to have better efficiency and video quality. This mechanism has two parts. First, it applies Currently Unused of DS Filed to classify. Second, it applies the improving RED with in/out and Coupled Average Queues Mechanism to manage the video packages on the basis of the Differentiated Queues. According to the relationship of all video packages, try to reduce the video packages which were abandoned as random as possible via different loading from the Internet. Also, it continually maintains the quality of the basic videos from the receivers. Moreover, it increases the quality of the accepting video packages efficiently. At the end, it proved via various simulated experiments such as long-term video transmissions, animated/static videos, and changing the numbers of Video Servers etc.
