The purpose of this study was to examine organizational identification, relational identification as a mediator between leader-member exchange (i.e., LMX) and subordinate‘s innovative teaching performance for elementary school teachers and junior high school teachers. The study targeted to elementary school teachers and junior high school teachers from 99 schools of 945 effective questionnaires. Using hierarchical linear modeling for data analysis, the results showed that relational identification mediates the relationship between LMX and innovative teaching performance. Implications, limitations, and suggestion for future research were discussed.
