近年來行動通訊裝置普及化,以及相當成熟的影音編碼技術與幾乎無所不在的無線通訊技術,讓群播多媒體服務如IPTV相當盛行,但是在不同的網路環境條件下,傳送端傳送封包給接收端時,所需的資源也各不相同,不同的資源分配會產生不同網路拓樸,因此希望在有限的可用資源下,做最有效率地資源分配,達到整體使用者滿意度最大化,這個問題已被證明是NP-Complete,雖然現今有些相關的研究,但還是有許多不足,例如:路由路徑是事先決定好的,或資源分配的方式不夠有彈性造成浪費。 在此論文中,我們著眼於在IEEE 802.16j的Multi-level WiMAX中繼網路環境中,利用可調視訊編碼將視訊分層編碼,根據使用者狀況來決定視訊品質,彈性分配資源給MR-BS和RSs,以期能最大化整體使用者滿意度。我們提出一個啟發式演算法,名為ML-LURA演算法來解決此問題,可由模擬得知,ML-LURA的效能相當好,也比其他現行的方法優異。
In recent years, mobile communication devices is very universal. Video encoding technology and ubiquitous wireless communication technology make multicast multimedia services such as IPTV quite popular. However, the receiver need different resource to successfully receive the video streaming from the sender due to heterogeneous channel conditions. Moreover, different allocation leads to produce different routing path and different topology. Therefore, we hope as possible for maximum resource utilization and overall user satisfaction given the resource budget. Although today some related research provide solutions, but there are still many deficiencies, such as the routing path from the MR-BS to MSs is predetermined or resource allocation is not flexible enough to lead to waste. In this paper, we focus on the resource allocation problem among the MR-BS and RSs to serve maximal user satisfaction over IEEE 802.16j multi-level WiMAX multihop relay networks. Using scalable video coding (SVC) scheme layered coding video. Flexible resource allocation according to user condition, resulting in various video quality. We propose a heuristic algorithm called Multi-Level Layer Utility-based Resource (ML-LURA) to solve the this problem. By simulating, we show that our algorithm performance is quite well, and outperforms the existing approach.
