First Principles Study For Field Emission Properties And Electronic Structures Of Graphitic Ribbons

摘要


本研究以密度泛函理論為基礎,運用VASP(Vienna Ab-Initio Simulation Package)軟體計算石墨帶之層數對其幾何結構、能帶結構、磁結構和功函數的影響。也探討週期排列之石墨帶的間距以及外加電場對以上物性的效應。最後我們將探討石墨帶的寬度(層數)及帶間距離對其場激發因子之影響。研究結果顯示石墨帶寬度越寬,能隙越小。外加電場越大,石墨帶能隙越小。石墨帶的間距越大場激發因子越大。

In this study, we performed the first-principles calculation for graphitic ribbons with geometry structure, electronic structures, magnetic structures and work function in different width under a uniform electric field within the framework of the local spin density approximation by using pseudopotentials and the plane-wave basis sets. The results show that the band gaps do decrease with increasing graphitic ribbons width or increasing electric field. Finally, the enhancement factors enhanced as ribbon-ribbon distance increases.
