This thesis presents design and development of a Boston battery management system. The proposed system consists of a buck converter PWM generation circuit and the Boston battery. Its main purpose is based on the charge state of the battery to change Boston charging operation in order to prevent overcharging of the battery and shorten the cycle life of the Boston battery. A buck converter associated with PWM circuit which is made up of two functional IC TL494 and PC923 to the system charge control. Finally, the Boston battery management system has been implemented to verify that this system has the capability of charging the battery management. Key words: Battery Management System, Buck Converter, PWM generator circuit
