成人參與學習活動與智慧關係之研究 ─以高雄市為例

摘要


本研究以參與及未參與學習活動的成人為研究對象,旨在探討成人參與學習活動與智慧之關係。具體而言,本研究之目的包含探討成人參與學習活動的狀況、成人社會人口變項與參與學習活動的關係、成人智慧的狀況、成人社會人口變項與智慧的關係、成人參與及未參與學習活動與智慧的關係,以及參與學習活動與智慧的關係。為達研究目的,本研究採用問卷調查法,以「成人參與學習活動與智慧關係量表」為研究工具,分別針對高雄市參與及未參與學習活動的成人進行隨機抽樣,發出1111份問卷,共回收786份有效樣本,有效問卷回收率為70%。經統計分析結果獲致七項結論: 一、 成人每週參與學習活動的頻率以1-2次;時數3-6小時為最。 二、 成人參與學習活動的年資以未滿一年為最;參與成效中上程度。 三、 影響成人參與學習活動的因素,包括性別與教育程度。 四、 成人的智慧呈現中等程度。 五、 影響成人智慧的因素包括生理性別、年齡,以及教育程度。 六、 參與學習活動的成人,其智慧高於未參與學習活動者。 七、 成人參與學習活動的時數、年資及參與成效與智慧有正向相關。 根據上述研究結論,本研究分別對成人本身、成人教育機構,以及未來後續研究提出幾點建議以供參考。首先,對於成人本身之建議,本研究認為,成人應該積極主動參與學習活動,將參與學習活動作為發展智慧的策略。其次,對成人教育機構之建議,本研究認為,成人教機構應持續提升學習活動的品質,維持成人的參與行為,並根據不同對象的成人規劃行銷策略,重視成人學習者智慧發展的狀況,在課程規劃時參酌智慧的觀點。最後,對未來研究之建議,本研究認為,未來研究可由其他縣市、民間團體,以及成人教育機構取得樣本,豐富樣本來源,此外,未來研究可以採用質性或實驗研究的方法,深入瞭解參與學習活動與智慧彼此間的深層關係,發掘參與學習活動有助於提升智慧的直接證據,就研究變項而言則應納入其他因素,如學習內容、學習風格等作為研究變項,進一步瞭解成人參與學習活動與智慧彼此間關係的全貌。

The purposes of this study were to explore the relationship between participate in learning activity and wisdom of adults. In order to achieve the purposes of study, questionnaire survey method was adopted. The instrument was entitled “Adult’ Participation in learning activity and Wisdom Questionnaire”. The survey was conducted in Kaohsiung city. A total of 786 valid questionnaires were returned. Statistical analysis yielded the following results: 1. Most of adult participated in learning activity was 1-2 times and 3-6 hours per week. 2. Most of adult participated in learning activity was less than one year, and the performance of learning achievement is medium-high level. 3. The influencing factors of participated in learning activity, including: sex and education. 4. The performance of wisdom is medium level. 5. The influencing factors of wisdom, including: sex, age, education. 6. There has a significant difference in the performance of wisdom between adult participated in learning activity and those who did not. 7. The hours of participation, years of participation and the learning achievement has positive relationship with wisdom. Based on the study results, researcher proposes some recommendations for adults, agencies of adult education, and future studies. First of all, adults should be positive for participating in learning activity, taking learning activity as a strategy for improving wisdom. Secondly, the agencies of adult education should continuously enhance the quality of learning activities for maintain the participation behaviors, planning different marketing strategy for different adults, paying attention to the wisdom development of adult learner and planning the curriculum from the wisdom’s perspective. Finally, to the future studies, in order to enrich the samples, other cities, civic groups, agencies of adult education should be considered, on the other hand, future studies could use different research methods such as qualitative study and experimental study to discover the direct evidence that learning activities could develop the wisdom, besides, other factors such as learning content, learning styles should be included as the study variables to explore the whole picture of the relationship between participating learning activity and wisdom of adults.
