書寫與行動:李家同的社會關懷實踐探析

摘要


本文旨在探討李家同的社會關懷書寫及實踐。本文發現李家同的創作,源自於他對社會人、事之關心,懷抱著知識分子的利他思想和淑世精神,以及他是虔誠的天主教徒、曾在「死亡之家」擔任義工有關。因此,李家同的書寫圍繞著三大主題,分別是:重視弱勢族群、關注教育議題以及針砭社會時事,這些都散發人道主義的精神。而李家同不只以寫作為喉舌,他更身體力行,在2002年成立「博幼基金會」,關懷的對象是弱勢的國中小學童,成立課輔中心,以提升學童未來的競爭力為目標,輔以品格及人文教育。博幼基金會從埔里出發,目前全台偏鄉已有十三個據點,李家同希望藉由教育來促進階級流動,讓窮困的孩子有脫貧的機會。李家同儼然是弱勢團體的代言人,他的書寫與行動更突顯出他「言行一致」的人格特質。

This thesis aim to depict Lee Chia Tung’s social concern in his writing practice.This thesis point out that the creative writing of Lee Chia Tong, is coming from his carrying towards society, social events and human beings. Holding the intellectual’s altruism and meliorism, and a devout catholic, he had been a volunteer in “the death house”. Thus Lee Chia Tung’s writing is around three themes, value the underprivileged minority,pay attention to educational issues, and comment on social events. All these are related to humanitarianism. Lee Chia Tung not only being active in his writing, he also embodied his thoughts into action, he founded the “Boyo social welfare foundation” to take care the underprivileged youngsters, it established educational centers, to enhance competitiveness and liberal arts education of the youngsters. Boyo social welfare foundationstarted from Puli, now it has 13 locations in suburbs of Taiwan. Lee Chia Tung anticipated toincrease social mobility through education, let the youngsters have chance to get rid of poverty. Lee Chia Tung is the representative of underprivileged minority, his writing and actionalso magnifying Lee Chia Tung’s personality that his deeds match his words.
