Research on Ling Yan's Romances Writing Some Observations Based on the Fiction Series by Yun

摘要

知名小說家凌煙曾以雲希眉為筆名在希代出版社寫了十九本的言情小說。這些小說並非凌煙的寫作主軸，其寫作也不是出自個人的意願，而是為了維持家庭經濟，以故知者不多。然而，這個寫作經驗根據凌煙自己的說法，成為她創作生涯中不可忽略的銘刻，發生過一定的影響力。而仔細閱讀其文本，亦發現儘管在情節、人物、主題上，沿襲著言情的特色，凌煙卻也發展出獨特的對個人、家庭與社會的關懷，觸及性別、婚姻抉擇、家庭照顧等不同問題。本文即以此為問題意識，一方面從這些文本閱讀中，拼貼小說家雲希眉：凌煙的面貌，同時，也指出凌煙小說言情的特色，貼近社會現實，表現出對社會現象的關注，對社會弱勢族群及社會邊緣人的關懷，她能闡述現實社會中的不完美，因為不完美，所以學會自我成長。

As a famous female writer in Taiwan, Ling-Yan used the name of Yun Ximei to write nineteen romantic fictions, which were taken by her or her readers as works inferior to those by Ling Yan. According to Ling-Yan, the only reason for her to produce all those writings by Yun Ximei known to very few people is out the economic need. However, the experiences did bring lots of benefits to her and threw impacts on her becoming a better writer. This research aims to discover being a highly esteemed female writer, how she did her romance writing. Through an analysis of the texture reading in details, we could confirm her outstanding story-telling technique, and got to how she described the imaginative characters to be real, how she weaved the romantic plots to be vivid, and represented the themes. All the books, besides creating many romantic soft touches as catchy as the other contemporaries, Ling Yan held her attention on the social issues, such as gender, marriages, families. She also focused lots of descriptions on the people of the bottom layer, and the minorities. This research definitely will help us to draw a more comprehensive picture of Ling Yan's literary career, and give her a more appropriate position in the history of Taiwanese female writing.
