學校教育在「全民國防教育」的授課目的,主要為建立學生國防常識的有效途徑,藉由「全民國防教育」的內涵的探討,瞭解「全民國防教育」是要培養居安思危、關心國防、支持國防及培養國家認同感。 本研究旨在探討全民國防教育課程對大專院校學生國家安全認知之影響。經以自編國家安全認知問卷,作為研究資料工具,並以本身服務之東海大學進行學生問卷調查,共施測學生936人,有效統計為893人,有效施測率高達95%。所得資料經統計、分析其相對比例,瞭解「全民國防教育」就大學生而言,經過國中小融入式教學、高中職及大學選必修課程之差異,分析其對國家安全認知之影響。 經分析發現大專院校學生接觸「全民國防教育」後,對國家安全認知影響在「整體國家安全認知」與「國家意識」、「國防安全」及「國家綜合安全」具有顯著相關性。另發現國中小時期之全民國防教育恐因記憶較模糊或課程內容較精簡,致使大學生較無印象,但自高中教育納入正式課程後,迄大學接受該教育對學生之國家安全意識是所提升的。 整體而言,學生接受全民國防教育課程與整體國家安全認知有高度正相關。作者根據本研究數據資料與分析結果提出相關建議,以供教育主管機關、授課教官及後續研究參考。
