毫米波無線通訊系統因為在毫米波頻帶上有較大的頻寬所以能夠提供高資料 量的傳輸。為了克服毫米波頻段的通道衰減,結合大型天線陣列的毫米波無線通 訊系統是一個可行的解決方案。在這樣的系統中如何能夠有效率的估測通道與精 確地波束合成便是毫米波無線通訊系統中所必須面對的重要課題。 本論文研究的議題分為兩個部分,在第一部分我們研究分層多解析度碼簿的通 道估測技術,並且提出ㄧ些改良的想法。在第二部分,我們探討基頻與射頻波束 形成共設計的方法,使得我們合成出的波束能夠在某種程度上減輕射頻電路在硬 體實作上的不完美效應。最後,我們透過電腦模擬對於所提出的技術進行了初步 驗證。
Millimeter-wave (mmWave) wireless communication systems can enable high data rates due to the high bandwidth available at the mmWave bands. To alleviate the severe attenuation in the mmWave channels, one possible solutios is to deploy large antenna arrays at both transmitter and receiver. Channel estimation and and accurate beamforming techniques therefore arise as two important research topics in this system. In the first part of this thesis, we study the channel estimation problem using hierarchical beambook. Some modification of the existing channel estimation algorithm have been proposed. In the second part, we investigate the RF-baseband co-design problem and propose a method to alleviate the impairments that arise during the RF circuit implmentation. Finally, we verify the proposed designs using computer simulations.
