台灣產薯蕷屬(薯蕷科)數值分類研究

A Numerical Taxonomy of the Genus Dioscorea (Dioscoreaceae) in Taiwan

摘要


台灣產薯蕷屬(Dioscorea)之分類至今仍有不同的見解,本研究利用特徵單位與分類運算單位(OTUs)進行多變數分析來探討各分類群及複合群之表徵相似性。將各標本館量測到的48個特徵單位與117份OTUs排列成原始矩陣,利用群團分析與分布序列法將原始矩陣劃定分類群,並配合典型判別分析得到顯著特徵。非加權配對平均法和非計量多向度量尺法劃分成11分類群;由葉基角度、葉寬長度、種子長度和葉長寬比4項顯著特徵,來解釋複合群之間的差異。與前人研究比對,將掌葉薯(Dioscorea codonopsidifolia Kamikoti)併入蘭嶼田薯(Dioscorea cumingii Prain & Burkill)同物異名,圓錐花薯蕷(Dioscorea kaoi Liu & Huang)處理成華南薯蕷(Dioscorea collettii Hooker)同物異名,日本薯蕷複合群區分成日本薯蕷(Dioscorea japonica Thunb.)和基隆野山藥(Dioscorea japonica Thunb. var. pseudojaponica (Hayata) Yamamoto),由上述結果將台灣產薯蕷屬處理成12種1變種。

There are still different opinions about the species taxa in the genus Dioscorea of Taiwan. The aims of this study are to classify those species by the character states of plant parts and use multivariate analysis according to the operational taxonomic units (OTUs). Forty-eight morphological characters states and 117 OTUs were measured from the specimens preserved in Taiwan herbaria to construct a raw data matrix. This raw data matrix was used to classify different groups by cluster analysis and ordination and to find the significant variables by canonical variate analysis (CVA). As the result we conclude that eleven groups are divided by using non-metric multidimentional scaling (NMDS) and unweighted pair group mean average (UPGMA). The significant characters such as that leaf base, leaf width, seed length, and leaf ratio were allowed to explain the variation among the complex taxa. Comparison with previous reports, suggesting that Dioscorea codonopsidifolia Kamikoti were revised to Dioscorea cumingii Prain & Burkill as synonym; Dioscorea kaoi Liu & Huang were also revised to Dioscorea colletti Hooker as synonyms; Dioscorea japonica complex were divided into Dioscorea japonica Thunb. and Dioscorea japonica Thunb. var. pseudojaponica (Hayata) Yamamoto. We conclude that twelve species and one variety of the genus Dioscorea should be recognised in Taiwan.
