民間道德教育班課程與教學之個案研究

A case study of curriculum and instruction on a non-governmental moral education impellent group

摘要


本研究旨在探討一個民間道德教育團體推動道德教育的內涵與經驗,包含三個主要研究目的:一為了解此個案團體的課程內涵、二為探討個案團體中教師的教學模式與特色、三為了解參與者對個案團體運作成效之看法。 研究資料的收集方式包括現場觀察、深度訪談以及文件分析,總計共38堂道德教育課程實施的觀察記錄;其中包涵12位學生、7位學生家長、3位老師和2位志願工作者的訪談,以及包含教材、學生使用的教科書、現場事件記錄等相關文件資料的收集。期望據此能描繪出此個案團體實施道德教育的全貌。 在研究發現方面,首先,該個案團體的運作內涵中,其招生策略,是以免費的英文班來吸引學生和家長;但其服務的對象是以弱勢家庭為主;其面臨的困境包含資源尋求、人力規劃、課程實施等;參與的志工及教師之所以願意投入,大部分的主要原因為其教育理念與該團體相當一致。 接著,在課程與教學方面,該道德教育團體是以某宗教的道德教育教材為主教材,課程方面以「德目」為單元實施教案。課程實施上以一週正課、一週體驗課程的方式交替進行,每一項德目指標以6至7週為進度來進行。每週上課時間為2個小時,包括正課、體驗課、讀經活動等,學生僅有讀經的教材,其他課程尚無相關教材,僅由老師講述。該個案團體不僅重視道德教育的課程教學,在生活力行方面也相當重視。 最後,在團體運作成效方面,雖然家長、教師和學生的在運作上的反應不一致,但在擁有共同的教育理想及信念之下,達到預期成效是指日可待的。   透過上述發現,本研究最後提出建議,供相關實務工作者和研究者參考。

This case study is intended to investigate the experience of a non-governmental moral education impellent group, with a particular reference on the implement process. The purposes of this case study are three-folds; including, understanding the content and context of operation of the group, exploring the curriculum and instruction strategy from the performers, and understanding the effectiveness based on the perspective of participants. The data collecting techniques applied in the research included field observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The total records of observations from performing thirty-eight times of moral education, included 24 participants’ interviews (12 students, 7 parents, 3 teachers, and 2 volunteers), and related significant documents, including the teaching materials, textbooks, and notes. This study is expected to describe a complete picture for a non-governmental moral education impellent group by the collected data from the above techniques. The conclusions of this study are as follows. Firstly, in the content and context of operation from the performance, the strategy to recruit students was by offering the free English class; but the main targeted objects to service were the disadvantaged families, the challenges suffered in finding resources, the management of colleagues, and the implementation of curriculum and instruction. The reason for volunteers and teachers who were willing to invest their time and specialty in the group were based on sharing a similar faith in education. Secondly, the main teaching material in the curriculum and instruction used moral education textbooks edited by a religion group. The curriculum was arranged with a moral faith as a unit and the instruction was implemented to interfold weekly of narrate and experience classes. Every unit took 6 to 7 weeks as a process, with 2 hours every week including activities of formal classes, experience classes, and reading-classics classes. Beside the textbook of reading-classics, students did not have any required textbooks yet. Finally, in reflecting opinions by the performing effects from parents, teachers, and students, where different ideas arose. To specific the suggestions based on the above conclusions were provided as reference for school personnel, educators, researchers and the non-governmental moral education impellent groups.
