高爾夫球頭材質探究

摘要


高爾夫球運動為一項歷史悠久的運動,經過數個世紀的演變成為現代的高爾夫球運動。一套高爾夫球具通常會準備不同功能之14支球具,以便在高爾夫球場上多變且複雜之高爾夫球場上打出最少之桿數所演變出的各式球具;由於歷史演變及功能要求,高爾夫球具之材質應用及演變便相當豐富,就近23年來就將近有60幾種的材料應用於高爾夫球具上,大致上可分為鈦合金、不銹鋼、碳鋼、銅合金及非金屬材料。因此,本研究目的為探究高爾夫球頭之打擊面所應用之材質,並分析其機械性質及特性演變。研究結果如下: 1. 木桿頭主要應用材料為鈦合金其比強度介於1.9~2.25x104 M,延伸率介於10~20%,密度介於4.37~4.5 g/cm3,楊氏係數介於110~120 GPa。 2. 球道木桿主要應用材料為為高強度不鏽鋼其比強度介於178~303 x104 M,延伸率介於9~16 %。 3. 鐵桿頭主要應用材料為分為不鏽鋼及碳鋼,機械性質有高比強度(1.8~2.4 x104 M)及高延伸率(30~50 %)之特性。 4. 推桿比強度不超過普遍不超過1.1x104 M,延伸率則相當廣泛介於4~64 %。

A whole set of golf clubs includes 14 kinds. Base on the history and the requirements of functions, the application and evolution of the materials are quite diversifying. There are nearly 60 kinds of metal materials been use to make the clubs.To discuss the materials to make the faces of club heads and analyze the mechanical properties and the characteristic translations is the purpose of this research. The main result in recent years as following: 1. The main materials of driver head face are used by titanium, and the Specific strength is 1.9~2.25 x104 M, and the Elongation is 10~20%, Density is 4.38~4.5 g/cm3, Young's modulus is 110~120 GPa. 2. The main materials of Fairway are used by high Specific strength stainless, and about the Specific strength is 1.78~3.03x104 M and the Elongation is 9~16 %. 3. The main materials of the Iron head face are used by stainless and carbon steel, and about the high specific strength and the high elongation of the iron head face is 1.8~2.4x104 M, and ≧20 %, recipectively 4. The Specific strengh of the Putter head face will not more than 1.1 x104 M and the Elongation is 4~64 %.
