The study aims to understand the actual process and context of the drug addicted and non-drug addicted rehabilitators in their return to the society and discuss how they overcome the dilemmas in the process of making readjustments to the society via the resilience factors of individuals and other supportive systems. The study was carried out with the adoption of the qualitative in-depth interviews. The targets in this study were drug addicted and non-drug addicted rehabilitators who used to be served by Taiwan World Happy Association. Through purposive sampling, the major requirement for selecting those interviewees was that they should make no offense more than one year after being discharged from prison. As a result, there were 6 chosen interviewees in total, 3 drug-addicted rehabilitators and 3 non-drug addicted rehabilitators respectively. This study found that drug addicted and non-drug addicted rehabilitators are likely to effectively cope with the dilemmas of returning to the society via the resilience factors of individuals and other supportive systems, thereby stabilizing their life step by step. In the background context of the drug addicted and non-drug addicted rehabilitators, it is found that the individual’s deviant behavior has something to do with the "family context" and "social context,” prompting the drug addicted and non-drug addicted rehabilitators to violate the law and be sentenced to jail. The dilemmas that the drug addicted and non-drug addicted rehabilitators have in returning to the society include three major aspects: "individual," "family," and "society." Under the influence of complex dilemma factors, they easily feel frustrated in the process of their return, leading to poor self-effectiveness and the potential problems of recidivism. However, there are five aspects in response to the dilemma resilience factors of the drug addicted and non-drug addicted rehabilitators’ reentering the society: "individuals," "family," "society," "resources," and "spirituality." It is realized that while faced with challenges in the process of reentering the society, these rehabilitators can save themselves from the dilemmas through the interaction of internal and external resilience factors, further obtaining empowerment in the process.
