實施正向教學對學生學習態度及學習成效之影響 —以一個國中英文科任教師為例

摘要


本研究旨在探討一名國中英文教師實施「正向教學」的歷程,以及「正向教學」對學生學習態度與學習成效的影響。研究者運用正向心理學理論基礎作為教學上的態度取向,來對屏東縣某國中某班共36名九年級學生進行二十週的行動研究。本研究以教師課堂觀察及省思札記、學生學習資料、學生訪談記錄來進行質性的討論。另外,以學校定期評量成績及研究者自編之「英語學習態度量表」來進行描述性統計、單一樣本t檢定、相依樣本one-way ANOVA等量化的分析。 本研究結果如下: 壹、 採取「正向教學」和該要求學生的上課規範不衝突;教師溫柔卻堅定、正向但嚴謹的態度可以贏得學生的尊重和認同。 貳、 教師實施「正向教學」要有充分的教學準備及正向情緒的素養。 參、 「正向教學」對學生學習態度有明顯正向的提升。 肆、 「正向教學」對學生學習成效可看到微幅的進步。 根據研究結果,本研究對欲實施「正向教學」的教師及後續研究提出具體建議,作為提升國中學生英語學習態度及成效的參考。 關鍵字:正向教學、正向心理學、正向情緒、學習態度、學習成效

Taking a junior high school English teacher as an example, the purpose of this study is to explore the process of "positive teaching" and probe the effect of "positive teaching" on students' learning attitude and learning effectiveness among the 36 students in the ninth grade. Positive psychology-based classroom management is applied as the orientation in the "positive teaching". This is done as an action research. Both qualitative research and quantitative methods are combined in the study. The class observation, teacher’s introspection, students’ interviews are applied as complement of qualitative research, while school achievement and questionnaires of "attitude toward learning English scale" which was developed by the investigator as complement of quantitative methods. The approaches include descriptive statistics, Single Sample t-test and Dependent Sample one-way ANOVA. The conclusion is as follows: 1. The "positive teaching" do not conflict with the requirements for class; A gentle but firm, positive but rigorous attitude of the teacher can earn the respect of the students. 2. Teachers must have adequate teaching preparation and positive emotion for the implement of the "positive teaching" 3. The "positive teaching" has a significant positive effect on students' learning attitude. 4. The "positive teaching" has a slight improvement on student learning effectiveness. Based on the conclusion of this study, suggestions are made for the teachers who want to implement the "positive teaching" and fellow researchers as reference for improving junior high school students’ English learning attitude and effectiveness.
