This study attempts to find out the relationship between employees’ job stress and job satisfaction and to examine if personal characteristics will make great differences to job stress and job satisfaction. Its samples are 200 employees working for Vinh Long Power Company in Vietnam. Research data collected from questionnaires is performed for statistical analyses by using the software of SPSS version 17.0. Its three principal hypotheses are tested by statistics such as descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, t-test analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis. The research results show that, only such personal characteristic as working department will make great differences to job stress, and not any other personal characteristics will make great differences to either job stress or job satisfaction of employees. Besides, job stress does not have any significant positive impact on job satisfaction of the power company’s employees.
