This study explored the feasibility of using infrared thermograph to detect the mental workload of a man while leading a team to complete the assembly of scaffolds. Ten college students, aged between 19 and 23, were involved in the experiment. The nose tip temperature for each participant during performing the experiment was collected. Each participant completed the NASA-LTX questionnaire and the result was used to compare the trend of collected temperature. The experimental results indicated that a man’s nose tip temperature would decrease if mental workload or mental stress is accompanied.
