As the global warming worsens , air-conditioners are used more frequently than ever to in campus. Additionally, electric lights also play an important role in campus, including indoor and outdoor devices. To save the power and take advantage of free space and solar power, solar panels are popular installed for campus environment. Mathematical models have been developed to evaluate the optimal strategy for saving both energy and cost in this study, including aforementioned devices. A case study of Shu-yi building of HUST has been demonstrated to explore the suitability and flexibility of the proposed method. The results has revealed that the proposed method generates alternatives under various budgets and constraints, which provides valuable information for the decision makers.
