自圓其說-商業攝影中女性形象的表現以台灣大尺碼女性為例

摘要


攝影術的發明改變人類對觀看的態度與方式,從記錄歷史到藝術創作,攝影隨著時代潮流不斷的改變表現形式。本研究針對商業攝影中女性形象的表現―以台灣大尺碼女性為例進行探討,透過文獻分析當代時尚攝影作品中,攝影師所賦予影像中商品本身以外的價值,也藉由女性攝影師的自拍創作,了解女性如何看待女性身體;再者,針對羅蘭‧巴特及約翰‧伯格對影像的觀看方式,分析影像為觀看者帶來視覺及心理不同層面的影響。 創作系列一運用挪用技巧,以角色扮演手法,拍攝一系列仿唐代仕女大尺碼影像作品,賦予影像另一層尊貴、高尚、華麗的訊息,再現如唐代婦女貴族階級的身分,創造屬於大尺碼獨特的烏托邦世界。在作品中更加入現代文明科技產物,藉影像中人物誇張的表情反諷現代文明社會現象,亦製造古今交錯並存的詼諧畫面,實驗將影像意義在創作上挪用的可能性,企圖突破現今社會既定審美觀的侷限,展現屬於大尺碼女性輕鬆自在的生活意念與生命能量。 創作系列二以企業形象定位為創作方向,就現今台灣大尺碼族群所面臨的社會價值觀與審美觀而言,他們在社會中處於弱勢族群,本系列作品試圖呈現大尺碼女性另一種美的形象,作為企業形象的代言人,運用母親形象,延伸出家及溫暖慈悲的意涵,採用紀實攝影的表現方式記錄女性大尺碼母親扮演著多重身份的角色,藉此關心周遭大尺碼女性族群在責任與義務之外,何者屬於真實的自己。 最後,透過本創作攝影記錄女性身體、由女性觀點觀察女性形象,藉由拍攝過程中角色扮演的趣味性,找到大尺碼族群在面對鏡頭前的自在表現;透過紀實攝影的方式關心周遭大尺碼族群的人事物,在影像呈現的同時,期許創作的影像能讓社會大眾開始重視大尺碼族群的存在。

The invention of photography has changed how people view the world over the years. From the records of actual events to artistic creations, photography styles keep changing constantly as time goes on. Through reviewing the history of photography in Taiwan, the researcher tries to understand the development of photography in Taiwan and analyze the current situation and prospect of commercial photography in Taiwan. This research aims to discuss the presentation of female images in commercial photography based on the large-sized females in Taiwan, the values beyond the products themselves in the images offered by the contemporary fashion photographers, the way women view their bodies through the analyses of the female photographers’ works, and the influences of visual and psychological aspects among the viewers according to the viewpoints of viewing photographic images proposed separately by Roland Barthes and John Berger. In the creation series I, the researcher uses the appropriate techniques and the role play method to take a series of pictures that are similar to the large-sized ladies of the Tang Dynasty. These photographs not only show the images of dignity, elegance and gorgeousness, but also reconstruct the demeanor of the noble females of the Tang Dynasty and create the unique utopian world which belongs to the large-sized females. The researcher even blends some modern technical products into the pictures and the model with exaggerated facial expression satirizes the phenomenon of the modern civilization which makes a humorous mix of ancient and modern. This series attempts to break through the aesthetic standard of today’s society and expresses the lively thoughts and vigorous energy of the large-sized females. In the creation series II, the works represent another image of beauty by using the large-sized mothers as the corporate image positioning. With the image of a mother, the photographs are endued with the extended meanings such as the imagery of a home, warmth and mercy. This series uses documentary photography to record the large-sized mothers of multiple roles and tries to pay attention to the group to convey the ideas of what the real self is beyond responsibilities and duties. With the creation series I & II, the researcher would like to reach two purposes. One is to record female bodies, observe the female images from female perspectives, and let the large-sized females feel free in front of the lens through the interesting role play. The second one is to use documentary photography for expecting the public would be aware of the existence of the large-sized females and treat them with respect.
