In this study, four-point loading tests were conducted on both lightweight and normal-weight concrete composite steel decks. The lightweight aggregate, was made from reservoir sediment. Three kind of loading shear span, a=3H, 4H and 5H, were selected in this tests. The shear screw was additionally added to the top side of steel deck with spacing’s of 15cm and 30cm.Test result shows that the load of composite steel deck drops sharply when reaching the first peak load, then, rising gradually. Its final load capacity can be even over the first peak load. Under the same loading, the higher value of shear span gets the lower value of load capacity. The destruction process of steel deck with additional shear screw is different from that without shear screw. The smaller sapcing of shear screw is, the smaller descending range of peak load will be. It indicates that with the shear screw, the capacity and ductility of concrete steel deck increases efficiently. For practical consideration, according to working stress method, the ultimate capacity of composite steel deck evaluated by the first peak load is workable. Its result shows a deviation of under 19%.
