Evolving technology has caused dramatic changes in industrial structures for all kinds of industries. Implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) has become an inevitable future, in order to enhance firm’s competitiveness and to reduce production costs. This research studies an IoT monitoring system for agricultural greenhouse, aiming at popularise greenhouse automation system among Taiwan’s small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises, to increase product competitiveness. The communication protocol used is NB-IoT, giving the system high hardware compatibility, reducing system maintenance difficulties, and automating the system. This thesis discusses the interaction between greenhouse hardware devices and sensors, and includes a design of interface with the above features.
