環保弱溶劑墨水中的揮發性物質之探討與分析

摘要


科技進步突飛猛進,且印刷機器日益普及,因此對於印刷墨水的要求更是日新月異。人類為了永續環保的綠色議題,在生活中被大量使用的印刷墨水也下過一番苦心,因此有了綜合水性墨水及溶劑型墨水的優點並去除其二者缺點的新產品「弱溶劑墨水」的問世,本篇論文欲使用氣相層析儀研究此類新型態墨水的成分,其中含有揮發性與非揮發性成分,並且鑑定這些成分是否屬於環保之化學藥品?   經氣相層析儀檢驗合作廠商提供的環保墨水樣品及其標準品,利用比對的方式得知墨水的內容物由何組成,而且發現白色的墨水與有顏色的墨水明顯不同,判斷原因是白色墨水色料是顏料,而有顏色墨水色料則是染料。因染料對溶解度要求較高,而顏料則是著重於分散度,因不同的需求而兩者的溶劑使用也是不同。   在白色墨水中發現的揮發性成分包含:正丙醇約40~50%、棕櫚酸甲酯與棕櫚酸乙酯各約佔10%,還有芥酸甲酯約佔2%等;而紅、藍、黑有顏色墨水的揮發性成分包含:丙二醇甲醚約65~70%、棕櫚酸甲酯與棕櫚酸乙酯各約佔10%這與白色相似,還有檸檬酸三甲酯約佔5%等,剩餘成分應為非揮發性色料等。經分析發現弱溶劑墨水所使用揮發性成分皆屬環保溶劑,對於墨水污染的問題,有莫大的助益。

With the rapid development of technology and the growing popularity of printing machine, therefore, the requirements of printing inks are changing with each passing day. For the green issue of sustainable environmental protection, people work hard to pursuit the better printing inks that are widely used in human life. That’s why a new product so called ECO-solvent ink is invented which has a lot of advantages and remove the shortcomings of aqueous inks and organic solvent inks. In this thesis the gas chromatograph was used to analyze the new-type ECO-solvent inks which contained volatility and no volatile ingredients which were determined whether they belong to environmental protection chemicals or not. In this research the samples of ECO-solvent inks and the standard of reference materials provided from the cooperative manufacturer were analyzed with gas chromatography and further to investigate the composition of the ink ingredients. It was discovered that the white ink was relatively different from the color inks. According to the experiment results it was concluded that the mainly difference between the white and color inks is due to texture of color materials. The white ink is made of pigment while the color inks are made of dyes. The color dyes require higher solubility while the white pigment requires high dispersion. This reasons would cause that the white and color inks use the different solvents in their won formulations. After the determination of gas chromatography, the ingredients of white ECO-solvent ink contained 40-50% N-propanol, 10% methyl palmitate, 10% ethyl palmitate and 2% methyl cis-13-docosenoate, approximately. And the ingredients of color ECO-solvent ink (red, blue, yellow and black) contained 65-70% of propylene glycol methyl ether, 10% methyl palmitate, 10% ethyl palmitate same as in white ink and 5% of trimethyl citrate, approximately. In this research it was found that the volatile ingredients of ECO-solvent inks were all environment-friendly substances. Comparing with the ordinary organic solvent inks, the ECO-solvent inks really help a lot to the issues of ink pollution.
