超現實主義風格元素轉化應用於金工首飾物件設計創作─以畫作米羅的「耕地」與達利的「記憶的永恆」為例

摘要


全球工藝、工業設計產品,藉由數位科技產業的蓬勃發展,讓工藝及工業產品設計者,能擁有更多時間投入在原創構想上;透過設計者創意的延伸,使量化冷峻、充滿理性特質的工業產品設計除了實用之外,憑添幾分美感。不可諱言,工藝設計的部份精神正緩緩的融入其中。本文僅就數位科技產業其中一項快速成型(Rapid Prototyping,簡稱RP)技術媒材的應用,在金工首飾設計上的融合展現。 然就設計創意的如何展開,目前有關設計研究的理論,在設計策略上語多保留,內容大都針對企業如何因應市場需求所提出的設計管理與組織方法的建言,對於設計創意的執行過程,多不做具體描述;這種設計思維、造形的綜合過程,長久以來早被視為黑箱作業,不見其公開及透明化。本文就上述現象,有感於將設計過程中應該如何運用設計知識與手法,將設計元素取出,進而衍生的新產品,有詳盡說明的必要;讓更多的設計領域人才,透過專業知識與經驗學養的累積,研發出更亮眼的設計產品。 本研究計畫,就國際風格導向,工業設計產品必須融合美學已是時代所趨,然將工業設計產品強加的美藝顯得生澀突兀的產品也為數不少。本文以超現實主義(Surrealism)繪畫表現風格為主軸,將達利(Dali)的作品「記憶的永恆(Persistence of Memory)」以及米羅(Miro)的作品「耕地(The Tilled Field)」為研究文本,目的在於將設計過程具體化,並提出將擷取造形元素特徵之「型態建構」與產生造形變化之「形狀文法」相併成一手法來展開設計過程,使設計得以依目的與需求展現結果。 就知識面:透過文獻提及的超現實主義繪畫風格表現手法,歸納分類出九種手法包括:1.比例尺寸放大縮小 2.空間置換 3.物理性質改變 4.表面材質替換 5.相異體的融合 6.無生物之活化 7.生物物質化 8.肢體解剖重組 9.重疊交錯的意象。 經由了解其表現手法再從超現實主義風格中選擇較具代表性畫家與畫作,以達利的「記憶的永恆」與米羅的「耕地」做為元素取出之文本,將原有用於擷取造形元素特徵的「形態建構」與產生造形變化的「形狀文法」,相併合成一流程透過「形態建構」取出畫作元素並以「形狀文法」中形的布林運算規則來推衍出新的造形。 為了瞭解「形態建構」與「形狀文法」流程整合的可行性,本研究創作透過實驗的方式,製成一系列金工首飾物件,來驗證其流程用於造形推衍發展的過程,做為探討流程階段及實施狀況與成效。 最後根據實際創作結果呈現,提出設計需改善的建議,以增進產品的完整性。此整合流程將繪畫「平面元素」轉譯至產品物件「半立體造形」,能使設計創作者在設計的思考發展上,可以達到豐富構想並給予造形設計不同面向的思維空間,提出另一種創作手法上之可能性;另一方面,對於科技材料的導入,使得設計以及製作效率提升,並可以提供工藝創作者大幅度的想法實現與提高其產品之附加價值。

As the rapid development of digital technology industry, designers of craft and industrial product can have more time on their original ideas. In addition to its applied function, designers’ ideas can add more beauty to a cold, mass production, full of rational characteristic industrial product. Besides, part of essence in craft design are slowly integrated into it. This research discussed only in the use of Rapid Prototyping (referred as RP) media in digital technology industry and the result of using RP in metalworking and jewelry design. The process of creative design is hard to find from related theories and research, especially the design strategy. General information are focus on the suggestions of design management and organization method about how company response to market demand. Therefore, the implementation process of creative design have little information. This kind of process about design ideas and model products has long been regarded as black box which can not be made public and transparency. Owing to the above phenomenon, this research focus on the detail of how to use knowledge and technique in design process to get design element which can be extend new product. In this way, designers can develop amazing product through the accumulation of professional knowledge and experience. In order to have international perspective, industrial design product have to mix aesthetics. However, there are lots of strange industrial design products which were forced mix aesthetics. This research project take the Surrealism drawing performance style as a main axle, use Dali’s “Persistence of Memory” and Miro’s “The Tilled Field” as research subjects. The research purpose is making design process to a specific plan. By using the capture of modeling elements features’ “Form Generation” and the formula of change shapes’ “Shape Grammars”, design result can be created according to the purpose and needs. Through the theory about surrealist painting style technique of expression can sum up nine expressions, including “Enlarge/Shrink scaling dimension”, “Space exchange”, “Physical property change”, “Surface material exchange”, “Fusion of different objects”, “Vitalizing non-living”, “Creature materiazation”, “Disassemble/Reassemble limbs and trunk” and “Overlapped interlace image”. Understanding of its expression through surrealistic style and select representive artists and paintings, this research use Dali’s “Persistence of Memory” and Miro’s “The Tilled Field” as research subjects. By using “Form Generation” to get paintings’ elements and the shape Boolean rule pushes by “Shape Grammars”, it can spreads out new shapes. In order to understand the feasibility of integration process of “Form Generation” and “Shape Grammars”, this research use experiment to prove it. Making a series of metalworking jewelry items to test the process, and then discuss the stage, implementation status and result. Finally, propose improve suggestions to promote the feasibility of product according to real creative result. This integration process make paintings’ “flat element” transform to products’ “semi-solid model”. It makes designers have plenty ideas and different thoughts in shape design, it also present the posibility of another creative approach. On the other hand, it can promote the efficiency of design and production through import of technology materials. It also can provide broad ideas for designer and increase product’s adding value.
